 Current Research and Innovation

My main interest is clinical research. I have published many peer review papers including systematic review on thyroid swellings (Annals of Royal College of Surgeons) and also on Tonsillitis (BMJ Clinic Evidence).

I have published on quality of life in children undergoing surgery for obstructive symptoms. Ongoing work in this area is in children having adenotonsillectomy.

I also have a research and development interest in airway interventions and have published in this area.

I was approved by Imperial College to introduce new technique of translaryngeal tracheostomy (2009). I carried out 15 in 2010 and ran training courses for specialists from across England and Wales (2010-2014).

I have written three recent book chapters including ABC of ENT (BMJ Publishing) and Complications of Head & Neck Surgery (IC Publishing).

I am a reviewer for several ENT journals; editor in chief CME Bulletin till 2006.
